Any panel can be designed around the customer’s requirements. As examples, the panel can be modified to allow extra instrument space for future upgrades or conversely, the instrument space reduced to improve access / leg room.
The instrument panel was designed to the specifications of the customer and a four section mould tool designed in the CAD system. Making the mould tool in multiple sections makes it easier to release the laminated component when it is cured.
The four section mould tool was produced using Stereolithography for fast and accurate manufacture.
The assembled mould tool is then used to produce the new instrument panel. Once cured, the instrument panel is trimmed to shape ready for hole cutting, priming and painting.
